Are Military surplus store making it easier of Phonies?

I visited a Military Surplus store (Not mentioning the store’s name)   Look what i found in the display cases  Navy Seal tridents.   Are they trying to make it easy for fakes and phonies to purchase to parade around as the fakes that they are?  Yes,  they sure are.  I asked a employee if they verify or ask customers to show proof or any evidence that they are in fact Seals?  “Nope”  was the reply.    What do you all think about this,  Should Military Surplus be able to sell items such as these to help fakes steal valor? (Please comment below.)
