Mourning a Star and Veteran Mickey Rooney passes at age 93


Mickey Rooney who was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II and a Entertainer for troops.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 43 in Hollywood, California.

US Department of Veteran Affairs Facebook posted a message about Mickey Rooney.

Today’s Veteran of the Day is Mickey Rooney. He joined the U.S. Army in 1944 and served for 21 months. Mickey was famous for his “jeep shows” where he would ride along the front lines in WWII to entertain the troops. He also entertained troops in Korea and was a long time member of the American Legion.

Mickey passed away yesterday. We honor his service.
