Happy 10th Birthday to Facebook which was created 10 years ago in 2004 which was first only available to invite only..  Please remember to like us on Facebook our page is: Trek to the Troops Facebook Page Go there and like us now,  or simply like us by the main page of the website and click the Facebook Like button on the right side column.

Here’s what Facebook looked like when it was created by Mark Elliot Zuckerberg while attending Harvard he and three other student created the program that started the predecessor of Facebook Facemash at Harvard which was a invite online to join.  Later in February 4th 2004. it was open to only Harvard members which sprang up like wild fire most undergraduates of Harvard had accounts on TheFacebok,  later changed to Facebook.com and went public in March/April of 2004..  If you want to find out more you can go here and look up more of the history of Facebook:wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_FacebookFile:Thefacebook.png

Fun-Fact:  Trektothetroops.com went online for the first time. Later changed to the current domain Trektothetroops.org website.   March 2005 when Trek to the Troops was created.

When Facebook first online, Trek to the Troops’ Founder Christopher Mulrooney (Then PFC Private First Christopher Mulrooney) was serving overseas in Iraq with the Arizona Army National Guard unit,  1404th Transportation Company (PLS) based in Show Low and Flagstaff, Arizona.
