Congrats to Operation Gratitude reaching 1,000,001 Care packages on December 7th 2013

December 7, 2013 Van Nuys, California, at the Army National Guard Armory which is also home base for Operation Gratitude,  Volunteers and people from the public, barred the cold and rainy morning to celebrate Operation Gratitude Milestone of 1 Millionth Care package to be shipped out to the troops overseas, but they didn’t stop at just 1 Million, they added 1 more package to the mix to surpass 1 Million care packages.  Operation Gratitude was started in 2003 to help send care packages to troops whom may not receive care packages while deployed. Well Organized and maintained the organization and it’s volunteers average about 100,000 care packages a year to our service men and women overseas.

Trek to the Troops support the volunteers who do their part to support the troops still serving, as some may remember on April 20th, of this year Trek to the Troops with the help of Volunteers and members of the 501st Vader’s First (Star Wars Fan Club)  barred the heat of that day in Costumes to support and Entertain the Volunteers at the start of their launch to a Million campaign.  We surprised and delighted the Volunteers of Operation Gratitude on that day and we hope in the near future.
